Jindrich Halabala Stool in Decorative Upholstery

Sale price$1,250.00

Jindrich Halabala for UP Závody, footstool, tabouret, ottoman, fabric, stained wood, Czech Republic, 1930s.

This poetic pouf is designed in the 1930s when the Art Deco Period was at its highest point and distinguishes itself by means of artistic upholstery that retained its original fabric and interesting construction. Halabala created a harmonious pouf upholstered in a decorative fabric with flowers on the seat. Functionality comes into play through the various functions this item embraces: you can simultaneously use it as an ottoman for your easy chair or as a stool to sit on. This item truly employs the designer’s aesthetic vocabulary and materials.

Please note that this item is in used condition and shows signs of age and wear common for pieces this age. Reupholstery and reinforcing the base can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
