Elegant Italian Bar Cabinet with a Tambour Doorpanel in Mahogany

Sale price$5,850.00

Bar cabinet, mahogany, glass, acrylic, Italy, 1950s

A gracious bar cabinet hailing from Italy and dating back to the mid-century period. The design features a tambour rolled-door that can be moved all the way down, revealing a sophisticated interior. The upper section is furnished with a compartment of glass shelves, two drawers, and a drop-down tabletop to prepare the evening drinks. Underneath, there is additional space to store beverages. An internal light source adds, besides its functional property, a luxurious sense to the piece. The way the legs are constructed - sculptural and graceful - which is in line with the curvature of the corpus, adhere to the design principles that flourished around that period of time.

Kindly take note that the veneer shows some imperfections, especially on the top part of the cabinet. In addition, some discoloration of the wood is present. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
